I don’t know how to even start out this post if we’re being totally honest. Kayli was one of my first friends when I moved to Arizona in the middle of 4th grade and we were twins on 5th grade twin day. I moved away from Arizona to Oklahoma when we were 12 years old and until 12 years later, we didn’t see each other again. In 2015 my dad moved back to Arizona so of course I was eager to visit and see a place I had such fond memories of.
I was looking back on her Instagram posts and the first time Evan appeared in one I commented “let me come and take cute pictures of y’all” and fast forward 5 months, they were engaged and I came to Arizona and took cute pictures of them. It was truly a DREAM.
We met up at 8:30 in the morning and got home at 11pm, didn’t eat for 12 hours, and nearly died (okay maybe not nearly, but it was still scary) trying to get to Merry Go Round Rock. We got to see Horseshoe Bend (before the dreaded fence goes up), canyons & the most gorgeous view of the red rocks of Sedona. Aside from that day, it had been 2 years since Kayli had even seen each other aside from the time in December of 2015 and I had of course never met Evan before that morning and I could have spent so much more time with them. They get married at the base of the Superstition Mountains in November and I am SO FREAKING PUMPED about it.
